One of the big down sides of the tecnology age ... tv, computers, etc. is this type of horrible advertising. Even Yahoo has sidebar ads that are assaulting self-image at times. At school the other day an 11th grade girl flipped out and said she wouldn't buy a yearbook because the pic of her showed a zit. Geee, really? I couldn't see it and I looked hard for it under the edge of her bangs. All they see now is the imagined negatives. Sad.
I am constantly frightened by the amount of adult knowledge my high school students have - even the Freshman. It's scary. Really, they have the knowledge set that used to belong to a 24 year old. Oy. Sorry I haven't been able to check in as much with getting ready for the move!
